Andalusian Crossroads — Ten Days Between Cities and Silence

Duration: 10 days / 9 nights
Arc: Tangier → Chefchaouen → Fes → Ifrane → Azrou → Meknes → Rabat → Casablanca
Essence: The quietest interlude between mountains and cities — where Morocco breathes in before it speaks.

From Tangier’s bright edge to Casablanca’s slow horizon — a journey through the calm geometry of Morocco’s northern cities, where Andalusian memory still lingers in tile, water, and shadow.

Day 1 – Tangier

Arrive in Tangier, city of tides and thresholds. Walk through the Kasbah where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic. The day ends in soft light over the Strait — the sound of gulls and prayer folding together.

Day 2 – Tangier to Chefchaouen

Drive through winding Rif roads to Chefchaouen, the city of blue and shadow. Afternoon free to wander its stairs and quiet corners. Overnight in a riad washed with indigo light.

Day 3 – Chefchaouen

A full day in the blue city. Walk to the Spanish mosque at sunrise, visit the kasbah garden, rest in silence while the town hums below the hills.

Day 4 – Chefchaouen to Fes

Travel south through rolling olive hills to Fes, Morocco’s oldest mind. Afternoon arrival and first glimpse of its labyrinth — narrow, golden, echoing with craft and prayer.

Day 5 – Fes

Spend the day tracing the city’s rhythm — the Karaouiyine Mosque, the tanneries, the medersa courtyards where sunlight drifts like incense. Evening call to prayer over rooftops.

Day 6 – Fes to Ifrane and Azrou

A day in the Middle Atlas — cedar, rain, and clean mountain light. Lunch in Ifrane, walk among the forests of Azrou, then rest in a quiet mountain inn.

Day 7 – Azrou to Meknes

Descend toward Meknes, city of gates and gardens. Visit Bab Mansour, the stables, and the royal granaries. Evening walks under olive trees and slow air.

Day 8 – Meknes to Rabat

Follow the road west to Rabat, Morocco’s stillest capital. Visit the Kasbah of the Udayas, white and blue above the sea. Dinner by the estuary as the light fades to pearl.

Day 9 – Rabat to Casablanca

Drive along the coast to Casablanca. Visit the Hassan II Mosque, the sea breathing beneath its arches. Evening by the Corniche, city lights trembling on the water.

Day 10 – Casablanca

Morning at leisure — breakfast by the sea, the air faintly salted. The journey ends as it began, between architecture and horizon.
