Booking Conditions.

These Booking Conditions form part of your agreement with Slow Morocco. By confirming a booking and submitting payment, you accept these terms as binding.

1. Contract and Confirmation

A booking becomes valid only once you have received written confirmation from Slow Morocco and payment has been received according to the agreed schedule.
Your booking confirmation or invoice will state the services included, the total cost, and any specific terms applying to your journey.
All correspondence and agreements are conducted in writing, usually by email.

2. Payments and Pricing

Prices are quoted in Moroccan dirhams (MAD) unless otherwise stated. Exchange rates may fluctuate, and prices in other currencies are for reference only.
Payment methods accepted include secure online payment and bank transfer.
A deposit may be required to confirm your booking, with the balance due by the date specified in your invoice. Failure to pay within the stated period may result in cancellation without refund of the deposit.

3. Cancellations by the Client

All cancellations must be made in writing and acknowledged by Slow Morocco.
Unless otherwise stated in your booking confirmation, the following general policy applies:

  • More than 45 days before departure: deposit refundable minus administrative fee.

  • 30–45 days before departure: 50% of total trip cost retained.

  • Less than 30 days before departure: 100% of total trip cost retained.
    Unused services or early departures are non-refundable.

We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers cancellations for medical or personal reasons.

4. Cancellations or Changes by Slow Morocco

We make every effort to operate as planned. However, due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather, political conditions, or supplier issues, we may need to modify or cancel an itinerary.
If we cancel your trip before departure, you will receive a full refund of all payments made.
If we must modify the itinerary during the trip, we will offer an equivalent alternative whenever possible.

5. Inclusions and Exclusions

Your booking confirmation will list what is included in your package (for example: accommodation, meals, guided visits, or transport).
Unless specified otherwise, the following are not included:

  • International airfare and visas

  • Travel insurance

  • Personal expenses, gratuities, and optional activities

  • Meals and beverages not mentioned in the itinerary

6. Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is essential and remains your responsibility. It should cover medical expenses, personal accident, trip cancellation, and loss of property.
Slow Morocco is not liable for any costs incurred due to lack of adequate insurance coverage.

7. Responsibilities and Behaviour

Clients are expected to behave respectfully towards guides, hosts, and local communities.
Slow Morocco reserves the right to terminate participation in a journey without refund if a client’s behaviour causes significant disturbance, endangers others, or violates local laws.

8. Health, Safety, and Fitness

Certain trips may involve walking, off-road driving, or rural stays. By booking, you confirm that you are physically capable of participating and that you have disclosed any relevant medical conditions.
You are responsible for carrying necessary medications and taking standard health precautions for travel in Morocco.

9. Force Majeure

Slow Morocco is not liable for delays, cancellations, or losses resulting from circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, or governmental restrictions.
In such cases, we will do our best to reschedule or refund where possible, but standard cancellation fees may still apply depending on supplier policies.

10. Complaints

If you experience any issue during your trip, please notify your guide or contact Slow Morocco immediately so we can resolve it while you are still on site.
Complaints made after returning home should be submitted in writing within 15 days of the end of your trip.

11. Governing Law

These Booking Conditions are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco. Any dispute shall fall under the jurisdiction of Moroccan courts.
