Marrakech to Merzouga
Duration: 3 days / 2 nights
Arc: From the red walls of Marrakech to the golden silence of the Sahara and back.
A short journey that traces Morocco’s most dramatic road — over the Atlas, through oases and canyons, to the dunes of Merzouga. Three days of shifting light and landscape, where every turn feels like a new world.
Day 1 – Marrakech to Dades Valley
Depart early across the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, winding through the High Atlas mountains. Visit the earthen ksar of Aït Benhaddou, a fortress of clay and sun, before continuing through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses. Arrive in the Dades Valley by late afternoon, where green palms thread through red cliffs.
Day 2 – Dades to Erg Chebbi
Follow the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs through the Todgha Gorge, its sheer rock glowing in the morning light. By afternoon, reach Merzouga and ride into the dunes of Erg Chebbi as the sun sets. Dinner and night under desert stars — silence, wind, and firelight.
Day 3 – Merzouga to Marrakech
Wake before dawn to watch the dunes shift from gold to rose. After breakfast, return north through Alnif, Ouarzazate, and the High Atlas, arriving in Marrakech by evening. The journey closes where it began, but your sense of distance has changed.
