Ouezzane Wool Souk

The wool market of Ouezzane, operating from a covered hall inside the medina. The Rif Mountains produce a particular wool — coarse, undyed, naturally weatherproof — that has been woven into the blankets and djellabas of northern Morocco for centuries. The souk is busiest on Thursday mornings when the hill farmers bring down their clip.
