Nejjarine Fountain & Fondouk
An 18th-century caravanserai and public fountain at the centre of the carpenters' quarter — nejjarine means woodworkers. The fondouk is now a museum of wooden craft. The fountain outside it is one of the most photographed surfaces in Fes: zellige in three registers, carved cedar canopy above, the sound of water in a souk that has been making noise since the 14th century.
