Kasbah of Taliouine
A Glaoui-era kasbah on the hill above the saffron village — the fortified residence of the family that controlled the trade routes between Marrakech and the Draa Valley. Partially ruined, partially inhabited, the kasbah towers over a village that has been growing saffron since at least the 14th century. The juxtaposition of the political architecture and the agricultural landscape it exploited is the point.
