Taroudant Souks

Two souks in one medina — the Arab souk and the Amazigh souk, each with a different specialisation. The Arab souk sells spices, textiles, and leather. The Amazigh souk sells silver jewellery, weapons, and the rough-woven blankets of the Souss. Both are working markets with local clientele. The Amazigh jewellery sold here is made in the villages of the Anti-Atlas and brought down for market day.
