Kasbah de la Cigogne

The 17th-century kasbah at the edge of the Larache medina, built by Sultan Moulay Zidan to defend the Atlantic mouth of the Loukkos river. The Portuguese had held it before him. The Spanish took it after. Now storks nest on the battlements every spring — hence its name, the Stork Kasbah.
