Médersa de Salé

A 14th-century Merinid madrasa adjacent to the Grande Mosquée — smaller than its counterparts in Fes and Marrakech, less visited, and consequently more available. The courtyard of carved cedar and zellige is intact. The student cells on the upper floors still open onto the gallery. One of the least crowded examples of Merinid architecture in Morocco.
