Mohammedia Ville Nouvelle

The French-planned new town of Mohammedia, built in the 1920s when the French designated the port as a fuel storage and industrial facility. Wide streets, low colonial buildings, the train station connecting to Casablanca in 25 minutes. The city's split identity — industrial port, beach resort — is most visible here, where the refinery and the corniche exist in the same postal code.
