Tetouan Ensanche

The Spanish colonial quarter of Tetouan, built between 1913 and 1956 in the style of a Spanish provincial city — arcaded streets, wrought iron balconies, a central market, a cinema, a casino. It is the best-preserved Spanish colonial urban fabric in Africa, largely because independent Morocco had neither the funds nor the inclination to demolish it.
