Cap Ghir

The rocky headland 50 kilometres north of Agadir where the Atlantic coast changes character — the sheltered bay of Agadir ends, the open northerly swell begins, and the coastline becomes dramatic: cliffs, sea stacks, the argan forest running to the cliff edge. The lighthouse at Cap Ghir has guided Atlantic shipping since 1912. The surf at the cape is serious.
