Ourika Saffron Cooperative

A women's cooperative in the Ourika Valley producing saffron, argan oil, and rose water from the mountain microclimate. The cooperative model — women controlling production and income — has been replicated across rural Morocco as a development framework. The products here are genuine: the saffron is harvested by hand, the argan pressed on stone.
