Sefrou Medina

One of the most intact small medinas in Morocco — a 9th-century town in the foothills of the Middle Atlas that the French left largely alone because it had no strategic value. The mellah is still standing. The covered souk is original. The tanneries by the river still work. Sefrou is what a Moroccan medina looks like before it becomes a destination.
