Tiznit Silver Souk

The silver-working town of Tiznit, 90 kilometres south of Agadir — the centre of Amazigh jewellery production in southern Morocco. The silversmiths of Tiznit make the fibula brooches, the coral and amber necklaces, and the geometric engraved bangles that have defined Amazigh women's dress across the entire south and Sahara for centuries. The souk around the old city walls is where to find them.
