Dakhla Fishing Port

The Atlantic fishing port of Dakhla — one of the most productive in Morocco, drawing on some of the richest fishing grounds in the world. The cold Canary Current brings nutrients upwelling from the deep ocean, sustaining vast populations of octopus, sardines, sea bass, and white shrimp. The Dakhla white shrimp is considered among the finest in the world.
