El Jadida Ville Nouvelle

The modern city that grew up outside the Portuguese walls during the Protectorate period — wide boulevards, a covered market, a seafront corniche. Less interesting than the walled city but necessary for understanding El Jadida's scale. The covered market is one of the best in the region for fresh Atlantic fish.
