01
The Hidden Valley
Paradise Valley is a series of natural rock pools and cascades in a palm-lined gorge, about 20 km inland from Taghazout. The name is from the 1960s hippie trail — visitors found the pools, spread the word, and the name stuck. The valley is Amazigh territory, farmed for centuries before the surfers arrived.
02
The Pools
Natural rock pools in a narrow gorge, fed by the Tamraght River. The water is clear, the rock is smooth, the palms provide shade. In spring the pools are deep enough for swimming and jumping. By late summer the water level drops.
