Tetouan Souks
The souk quarter of the Tetouan medina — the most Andalusian market in Morocco, with covered lanes, tiled stall fronts, and a craft tradition that preserves techniques brought from Spain in 1492. The embroidery of Tetouan is particularly fine: silk thread on linen, geometric patterns derived from Andalusian textile traditions. The silk souk is the quietest and most extraordinary lane in the medina.
