Dades Valley Road

The road through the Dades Valley climbs from Boumalne through a series of gorges and switchbacks to the village of Msemrir — one of the most dramatic drives in Morocco. The valley narrows progressively, the walls get higher, and the pisé villages cling to the rock faces with an implausibility that only makes sense when you understand that the river below flooded regularly before the dam.
