Corniche Aïn Diab

The Atlantic corniche that runs west from the Hassan II Mosque for several kilometres — beach clubs, seafood restaurants, the salt air of the open ocean. This is where Casablanca's middle class spends summer weekends. The water is cold, the beach is crowded, and the light on the ocean in the late afternoon is the reason the city faces west.
