Draa River Valley Road

The road south from Ouarzazate follows the Draa river — Morocco's longest, running 1,100 kilometres from the High Atlas to the Atlantic. For the first 200 kilometres the road passes through an almost unbroken palmeraie: date palms, ocher kasbahs, and the river threading between them. The drive is one of the most beautiful in Africa.
