Andalusian Mosque
Built in 859 CE — the same year as Al-Qarawiyyin, by the sister of Fatima al-Fihri. It sits on the eastern bank of the Oued Fes, in the quarter settled by refugees from Andalusia. The mosque that Maryam al-Fihri built has been quietly competing with her sister's for eleven centuries. Non-Muslims may not enter.
