Fes Ville Nouvelle
The French-built new town south of the medina, laid out by Lyautey's urban planners after 1912 with wide boulevards, art deco façades, and the spatial logic of a European colonial city. The Boulevard Mohammed V is its spine. It is the part of Fes that the medina guides never take you to — which is precisely why it is worth understanding.
