The Museum of African Contemporary Art Al Maaden holds one of the continent's most important collections of contemporary African art. The building, outside the medina in the Al Maaden development, is as modern as the work inside. The collection spans the continent: North African artists alongside South Africans, Nigerians, Kenyans.
