Fontaine Chrob ou Chouf

Its name means "drink and look" — an instruction carved into the cedar canopy above the trough. Built in the 16th century, it stands at the entrance to the souk quarter as an act of public generosity. The inscription above the water spout is from the Quran. The geometry above it is from centuries of craft obsession.
