Place Bab Fteuh

The square at the southern edge of the souk quarter, traditionally where scribes, letter-writers, and Quranic teachers gathered. The storytellers who no longer perform at Jemaa el-Fna can sometimes be found here. A transitional space between the medina's working core and its residential quarters — busiest at the hours when people are moving between the two.
