Souk Haddadine

The blacksmiths' souk, where the sound arrives before the entrance does — hammers on iron, the ring of metal being worked. The lanterns of Marrakech are made here, in workshops the size of a corridor, by men who learned from their fathers. The sparks land on the same floor they have always landed on.
