Bab Doukkala
The northern gate of the medina, named for the Atlantic coastal plain it once faced. Caravans from Casablanca, Safi, and the coast entered here, which is why the neighborhood behind it still has the widest streets in the old city — built for loaded camels, not pedestrians.
